Dehoarder 2 Coming Soon Page Is Live

I interrupt your regularly scheduled midweek to bring a super important and exciting announcement: The Steam Coming Soon page for Dehoarder 2 is live!

Why is this announcement super important? Because it enables YOU to wishlist Dehoarder 2, and thus in aggregate lets me gauge how much interest there is in the game. Without your expression of interest, the future of the game could be jeopardized.

Why is this announcement exciting? Because Dehoarder 2 is shaping up to be my “biggest and bestest” game yet. Everything that I have learned over the years in regard to game development and much of what I’ve learned regarding life in general is going into this game.

To help get the word out about this thought-provoking, one-of-a-kind life simulator, I will be running a series of special re-release events on itch.io showcasing the best of my game jam entries and other prior PC downloadable titles. With Kongregate long-dwindling, it is way overdue that I establish a presence on itch.io and move many of my obsoleted broswer-based games there as PC downloadable titles.

Dehoarder (8/24)

The fun all starts today with the original Dehoarder. This game was my first-ever game jam entry for Ludum Dare 26, and aside from my most recent release of Prepare For Warp, this is my game that has had the most influencer coverage, even catching the attention of RockLeeSmile. Of course, this game, and the reaction it garnered, are the inspiration behind Dehoarder 2.

E.A.R.L.’s Warehouse (8/26)

E.A.R.L. rolls into town on August 26. I’d say that this is probably my first game that was actually any good, gameplay wise. This charming voxel-based 3D block puzzle has you take control of an advanced logistical robot who suddenly finds itself abandoned in its designated warehouse.

Deifics’ Guide to Creating, Exploiting, and Destroying Pocket Worlds (8/29)

On August 29, Deifics’ Guide to Creating, Exploiting, and Destroying Pocket Worlds will coalesce on itch.io. This Ludum Dare 38 entry placed quite a respectable 34th out of a field of over 1,800 entries for Innovation. This unique resource gathering and production management puzzle has you gather abstract elements from the aether to create new worlds that in turn produce more elements. Unlock new elements by combining different elements when creating worlds.

Dirty Fork: Unleash the Mayhem (8/31)

On August 31, Dirty Fork: Unleash the Mayhem will be served on itch.io. Created for Ludum Dare 32, this admittedly basic game’s charm comes from its humor. Try to drive away customers by pelting them with food while trying to keep your dignity among the increasingly agitated restaurant staff, in what might have been the world’s first “Karen” simulation.

Werepenguin’s Escape (9/2)

On September 2, Werepenguin’s Escape slips onto itch.io. This Ludum Dare 35 entry features five block-pushing and light-reflecting puzzles ranging from easy to fairly difficult. The game has you take control of a character who turns into a penguin when struck by moonlight. When in penguin form you cannot jump, but when in human form you cannot walk across ice.
