Description
Dehoarder 2 is a Life Simulator where you take control of the life of Harry the Hilldale Hoarder. You must help Harry to get his life in order before the building inspector fines him into oblivion and forecloses on the family home. But change comes hard for Harry, and at first he will only be willing to part with the simplest of things and do a minimum of work.
History
“Dehoarder 2” is a sequel to my Ludum Dare 26 entry “Dehoarder“, as featured in Let’s Play videos by RockLeeSmile and captnduck. In the original game, you take control of a character in a one-room house, and are tasked with ridding yourself of various junk. In a fashion reminiscent of Katamari games, you must dispose of lower-value junk before you can stand to part with higher-value items. After several years of part-time development and several months of full-time dedicated effort, Dehoarder 2 is ready to start finding its core fan base as development continues.

- Hundreds of varieties of junk to dispose of, most containing humorous bits and anecdotes.
- Cook food for survival and create other useful items using a workstation-based crafting system.
- Encounter and remove a variety of vermin from benign to life-threatening, each with their own unique properties.

- Redecorate by purchasing and placing custom furnishings.
- Manage gardens, fighting weeds and tending flowers to increase curb appeal.

- Remodel the house by refinishing walls, floors, ceilings, and other elements of the home.

- Mod the game using the Unity Editor and Lua Scripting
